Background
Jack Frost spores have quickly grown in popularity in the short time since their discovery. This strain comes from the True Albino Teacher (TAT) syndicate. TAT mushroom genetics are relatively new to the mycology community. The fruits of the Jack Frost mushroom spores have white stalks, white caps, and blue gills—and look as though they are covered in snow. It’s a visually stunning mushroom with equally impressive spores that are amazing to view under the microscope!
The TAT syndicate began with Jik Fibs, a mycologist who saw an albino mutation in a group of Golden Teachers. Fibs isolated and stabilized the genetics. The stain is currently known as True Albino Teacher. This marked the beginnings of the TAT syndicate. TAT mushroom genetics are a new, exciting line for the mycology community.
Jack Frost is a hybrid between two highly acclaimed mushroom varieties:
- True Albino Teacher – an albino variety of the legendary Golden Teacher strain
- Albino Penis Envy – an albino variety of the classic Penis Envy strain
Jack Frost spores are highly sought after in the microscopy community and a must-have in any spore collection.

Your Jack Frost Spore Kit includes either a spore syringe with active spores suspended in sterile water in a 13cc syringe, an 18 gauge needle, and two alcohol wipes, or two spore swabs, along with a product flyer and holographic Blue Stem Spores sticker – all contained in a sealed plastic pouch.
In the winter, our spore syringes are shipped in bubble mailers inside of the shipping boxes to prevent freezing
