Background
Stargazer spores come from a strain of psilocybe cubensis mushrooms. This variety is one of the more storied and well-known of all cubes, featured in Paul Stamets 1983 book, The Mushroom Cultivator. Stargazer mushrooms were discovered by western researchers in the foothills of the Andes mountains in Peru, near the Inca Ruins of Machu Picchu. The Incas used this mushroom for many centuries, for spiritual and ritualistic purposes.
Characteristics of Stargazer Spores
Stargazer spores are brownish-purple in color and oval shaped, typically 10-15 microns long, and visible only under a microscope.
Stargazer spores grow mushroom fruits with white stems, three to four inches in height, and bulbous, yellow caps, with a rust-orange center, one to two inches in diameter.
