Description
Psilocybe allenii, is a newly discovered cubensis species as of 2012, and is named after John W. Allen. It is truly a PNW magic mushroom, found in northwestern North America, from British Columbia to Los Angeles. Allenii can typically be found on rotting wood within 10 miles of the Pacific coast.
There are strong similarities to Panaeolus cyanescens microscopically, but this allenii lacks the typical wavy caps of the cyan. Allenii can vary in size from 1.5 cm to 9 cm and present a range of colors from yellowish tan to brown depending on the moisture of its environment. The hollow stems can range from 4 cm to 7cm. PNW Spore, Co. is excited to offer a cultivar discovered in our neck of the woods!
