STRAIN ORIGIN
We’ve been supplying B+ spores since 2018 and know a thing or two about this beautiful fungi. This infamous and extremely popular variety was first found in Florida, where it was over 16 inches tall. It is highly popular for the size it’s been documented to reach in the wild. Why? Well, of all P. Cubensis strains, not many varieties can exceed 16 inches. B+ mushroom spores are cold resistant, and are much easier to work with than most other strains. In fact, they may even be the easiest!
DIFFICULTY
B+ is considered one of, if not the easiest strain to work with. It is great for beginners who are just starting out, or experienced mycologists who want to practice new research methods.
SPORE FEATURES
The spores of B+ mushrooms are dark purple to brownish, 12-13 by 8 micrometers on 4-spored basidia, and usually leaves large dark prints 30-75mm in diameter. They provide ample research material.
RARITY
B+ is pretty common thanks to its approachability & ease in research. Again, it is one of the easiest strain to work with, and is extremely popular amongst beginners and experts alike. While you may find B+ spores listed all over the internet, only very few are genetically tested & pure. We’ve been supplying them since ’08 and have an emphasis on quality, purity & honesty.
CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE
B+ mushrooms are etched into Florida’s mycological lore, as the “chosen one”. Prideful Floridians boast the size of this mushroom, and credit themselves for its introduction to the mainstream. Additionally, one could make the argument that this mushroom is progressing the psilocybe spore industry faster than any other, as it has become the preferred choice of first-timers. For many, it serves as the initial portal into a deeper exploration of mycology.
